Bonhams have set a new world record for the most expensive car sold at auction – £19,600,000 or $29,600,000. The record was previously set by a Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa that sold at for $16,400,000 or roughly £10,800,000, but this Silver Arrow has completely destroyed the previous record by a considerable amount.
The car itself is chassis number #000006/54, and was raced by Juan Fangio and won in the 1954 Swiss and German Grand Prix’s.
