Comparing Ford Mustang GT500 with Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, we must add that the second one is even more capable on the track.
The engineering which produced the Z/28 is really jaw dropping. The fact that its 305 section front tyres are the largest currently used by a production car gives you just some indication of just how performance balanced and oriented the new Z/28 is. These tyres, which are the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo Rs, actually create so much braking performance that the tyres would actually slip on the wheels. This is a problem which generally only occurs on racing cars.
In order to resolve the problem, Chevrolet media blasted the inside rim of each wheel to ensure that the tyres could’nt slip. Very impressive !
