In this article we totally choose to talk for the famous 1970 Ferrari Formula One Flat-12 Engine
This was a rebuild on an existing engine platform.The primary consideration was reliability & clean running
The Ferrari flat-12 is a legendary engine and very unique in its kind ,supporting the Ferrari on Formula 1 by winning the World Championship with Nikki Lauda in ’75.As we told this engine was used in a Ferrari sport car for Le Mans racing & the milder camshafts may be used in this engine.
After the second rebuild on Superflow Powermark ,this time the Dyno results promised in 365 Hp at just under 10000 rpm
Most of the improvement was due to fuel curve tuning on the Lucas mechanical injection system & ignition optimization. While not the most powerful vintage F one engine, it has been very reliable & smooth.
