Maybe many of you already know the difference between a small block and a big block V8 engine,if not this article is made for you.
Logically, one thing we all know is that Big Block is bigger which means it has been made with more material,is more stable and it has bigger displacement.Anyways, this is not enough to consider the fact that you know the difference between them now.Another thing that is part of list is the stroke,small blocks would have short strokes and big blocks long strokes.Another thing we must add is the head and the position of the vlaves. Obviously on the Big Block engine they are canted and the head is larger,on the Small Block the valves are all lined-up straight.And the last is that cubic inches are not necessarily a reason to say it a big block or not.
