Connecticut State Police built a device designed to simulate the feeling of a 5mph crash, and it’s surprisingly violent. The idea is to demonstrate the need for a seatbelt, and it works. This that’s the equivalent of a parking lot accident, and every one of these people would have been thrown into the windshield if it hadn’t been for their seatbelt.
