The Patagonia Top Gear special was not only the last Top Gear special, but its explosive ending proved to be one of the final nails in the Top Gear coffin.

Argentian locals were convinced that the license plate on Jeremy’s Porsche 928 “H982 FKL” was a deliberate reference to the 1982 Falkland’s war, and they responded to the Top Gear crew with such violence, that they were forced to abandon their cars.
