A few months ago, our friend Doug DeMuro from Jalopnik decided to sell his school-bus yellow Hummer H1.
However, before he did so, he brought it to CarMax to see how they would appraise it. The predictable ensued; the purchaser showed little interest in the unusual vehicle and made him an offer far lower than the vehicle it was worth. Doug however has another even more unusual vehicle in his garage, a Japan-imported 1990 Nissan Skyline GT-R. Naturally, he chose to bring the Skyline to CarMax to see how they would appraise it.
