Ford isn’t a company known for building fantastic straight-sixes, in fact they haven’t built a straight-six for what feels like ages, how about a Ford Turbo-Straight Six?
However, while Ford small-block V8s are the ones that get attention, one Australian tuner set out to prove that the 4.0l six that came in the Falcon XR6 is an excellent platform for making huge power.
No word on internals, but considering it makes 1163 hp using a turbo larger than many engines themselves, it would be fair to assume that it’s fully build. There really is just one replacement for displacement; boost. Watch this beast on the dyno below!
