For most folks, an engine swap is a massive ordeal. An experienced shop can get the task done in a day, an amateur could take more than a week.
In this legitimately questionable video, five marines after two weeks of training managed to change a Ford Escort’s engine in just 42 seconds.
Now, the goal was to swap in the new engine and drive the car for ten meters. Because the car just had to travel 10 meters, and not several hundred thousand kilometers, then didn’t need to worry connecting the cars cooling system, or even proper engine mounts (the whole engine appears to be sitting on hooks). No word on specifics, but the car is likely only one-wheel drive as well, so only a single drive axle needed to be connected. Epic Engine Swap!
