The age old question of Steel VS Carbon Fiber driveshafts is finally answered.

Richard Hammond is no stranger to motoring and the car world, although he is mostly known for his former job presenting BBC’s Top Gear, he has also made his own independent documentary series: Richard Hammond’s Engineering Connections.

In this particular snippet of the show, he visits an industrial testing facility, where an engineer will talk him through the process of testing for torque induced fractures in a driveshaft. A demonstration is now given and each material is taken to its limit, and then some.

The results might surprise you.
