Shane Van Gisbergen, a driver from New Zealand clocked in a blisteringly fast lap during qualifying for the 2016 Bathurst 12 Hour race, breaking the Mount Panorama Circuit lap record.
Showing phenomenal concentration and almost superhuman ability, Van Gisbergen traced a beautiful and insanely rapid lap, with zero mistakes, and swift, precise vehicle control
Piloting the Tekno Autosports McLaren 650S GT3, he did a lap of the 6.213 km, or 3.861 mile track 2 minutes and 1.286 seconds.
Even in the most adverse circuits, with elevation changes that would terrify anyone, this driver has set not only a lap record, but also an example on how to wield a race car.
