Lamborghini Centenario, their centennial anniversary is now, and they are celebrating in style.

From their inception in 1916, to their 60’s breakthrough in the form of the legendary Miura, to the 80’s Countach flair, and all the way to modern times, Lamborghini has always been a pillar of the supercar world and automotive culture in general.

The company continues to produce insanely fast machines, each generation’s icon becoming a dream car for the next generation of petrolheads, and now, on their 100th anniversary, they have something wonderful coming up, the Lamborghini Centenario.

According to some sources, Lamborghini has built a “one-off” car to commemorate their birthday, just like the insanely stylized Egoista, this special edition is said to be unique and astonishing in its looks. A production run of around 20 units is to be expected, and the new addition to the raging bull family would be called the Centenario.

A coupe body, a 6.5 liter V12 outputting over 740 horsepower, delivering it to the wheels via an AWD setup much like the one in the current Aventador. This new Lamborghini Centenario car is likely to be not only a celebratory excess parade, it may as well become a well sought after classic in the distant future.

True to their usual flair and panache, the Italian supercar maker will celebrate its centennial in a grandiose manner, as the Lamborghini Centenario is just the beginning of the festivities.
