Lotus‘ ground effect cars are perhaps the most iconic racing machines from what many consider the golden age of Formula One. Such historic value comes from the legendary developments in aerodynamics, namely, the extensive use of ground effect to generate downforce with minimal drag.

Throughout the history of Lotus, innovation has always been the ethos behind every success, and the ground effect cars such as the 78, 79, 88, and 91 will forever be a staple of Colin Chapman’s legacy.
