Roborace’s first autonomous race car prototype is off the hook.

When Formula E annouced that it planned to create an autonomous race car driving series,we we’re a bit shocked,and Roborace made that plan even more possible,by revealing the first self dirving race car called,the DevBot.

The DevBot will allow teams to test their softwares as they develop their respective cars,and while the final race cars won’t have a cockpit,the test ones still have,in case of any mal functions,the driver can intervene.

The idea is for every team participating in Roborace,to use mechanically identical cars and each team responsible for creating their own driving software.So even though the DevBot doesn’t look as the final product,it doesn’t need to be,teams only need it to create their autonomous racing software.
Formula E,is going to officially unveil the DevBot today in Leicestershire,England.
