Nitrous Oxide is commonly used mostly to tune the power of the car, not actually run it. Nitrous Oxide is stored as liquid gas in tanks, but in reality is a gas under atmospheric conditions.

Anyway, the idea is that engines are commonly made to run with petrol, or diesel, not with N2O. As we said racers, especially drag racers, use it to boost the power of the engine, but running it on big amount of Nitrous isn’t a cleave thing to do, and as you will watch from the video below, the engine isn’t very happy about it either.
