To make sure the new 1967 Dodge Coronet wasn’t going to get confused with the grandpa’s grocery getter, Dodge introduced the new R/T moniker which stands for Road & Track. Not wishing to disrupt the Coronet’s clean lines, the R/T introduced just enough performance-car hints to make the intent very clear.
