20 years old Scott McLaughlin was the winner! Very unexpected but believe us when we say that this young boy was very skilled .He already won a very important podium finish in the second ever V8 Supercars race for Volvo Polestar Racing. This young boy made the multitude scream for him in the last and decisive lap
”What an amazing day for Volvo Polestar Racing and GRM. I can’t thank them and the fans enough. I never thought I’d get a trophy here but I did!” said McLaughlin.

When this battle started Kiwi was in the second position and you can notice from the video how hard was for him to be hand to hand with the Red Bull Racing Australia driver Whincup. In the last lap this battle between two skilled drivers became more aggressive.The most interesting part was McLaughlin passing Whincup in the last corner.
”I slowed down too much, I should have blocked Whincup a bit better. But he got me and we went side-by-side and it was pretty good racing. I got him in the end and this is for sure one of my best races ever!” said McLaughlin. Dont forget the final results and the  video below!
