A few weeks ago I posted an article regarding rumors circulating that the Alfa Romeo Giulia beat the BMW M4’s time around the Nurburgring. I also suggested that these rumors came from bogus sources and that they should be taken with a grain of salt.
I was wrong; dead wrong.
Today Alfa announced that the Giulia just ran around the Nurburgring in 7:39. That’s a staggering 14 seconds than the BMW M4, 3 seconds faster than the original Porsche 911 GT3, 1 second faster than the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, and on par with the Ferrari 430 Scuderia. That makes the Giulia the fastest sedan around the Nurburgring, ever. I have to admit, prior to this news I only found the Giulia mildly interesting, now I’m fascinated, this is a seriously fast machine.
