Without a doubt, the Audi R8 V10 is a stupidly fast car. This example is the R8 GT which sends 560hp to all four wheels through a dual-clutch transmission, so there’s a good chance that it would destroy the fastest car you’ve ever driven. The R8 with its mammoth speed, obsessive attention to detail and electronic sophistication represents the best modern supercars have to offer.

Supercars however, are old news. Nowadays you’ll need a hypercar in order to achieve drag-strip superiority. That’s where the Koenigsegg One:1 comes in. In case you didn’t know, the name refers to the cars power to weight ratio, as it weighs 1360kg and produces 1360PS. The question is then, what happens when you pit these two monsters against each-other? I suppose the real question is, how badly will the Audi lose?
.
It should be mentioned that the Koenigsegg wasn’t using E85 fuel, which is required to achieve all 1360PS, and it reportedly had a wheel alignment issue. This R8 GT apparently featured considerable weight-saving, though I’d be impressed if anybody managed to get any significant amount of weight out of an already extensively carbon-fiber car. As you’ll see, thanks to its all-wheel-drive the R8 had the Koenigsegg off the line, though its raw horsepower eventually left the Audi in its dust. We’ve been told that the One:1 managed to hit 220mph while the Audi ran out of juice at 190mph.
