So, as it turns out even the most hardcore rally drivers have an awesome sense of humor.
To demonstrate this, the WRC asked Elfyn Evans and Dan Barritt to put away their monstrous Ford Fiesta rally car for a vehicle with about a third of the horsepower, and more than twice the weight; a Ford Transit Van. Likewise, Citroen drivers Kris Meeke and Paul Nagle hopped into a Citroen Jumper in order to take part in a race for van-superiority. The goal of this race wasn’t even to win, it was for each car’s respective co-driver to draw the best picture of a WRC Rally Car possible.
While it’s not the sort of anxiety-inducing rally action you’re probably used to, the result is none-the-less hilarious.
