The VW Emissions cheating scandal strikes the company yet again.
The United States’ Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed suit against Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, and their USA subsidiaries, on behalf of the EPA.
Around 600,000 diesel vehicles sold in the USA are claimed to have the allegedly “cheating software” thus passing emissions testing while actually surpassing contaminant emission limits.
Nearly half a million 2009 to 2015 TDI 2 liter models and approximately 85000 3 liter TDI engine models from Volkswagen, Porsche, and Audi are said to violate environmental regulations.
After the VW emissions cheating scandal; no recalls in America have been issued nor successfully discussed, and the situation looks grim for the American branch of the VW group.
A hefty monetary fine may be in Volkswagen’s near future, but no specific amounts have been discussed.
