When you think of absolutely dreadful cars, Pontiac Azteks and PT Cruisers probably come to mind, although there’s one car that would make them look like Ferraris. Meet the 1951 Hoffman.
It has six horsepower, three wheels and a wheelbase that’s shorter than its track. To make matters worse, you need to practically contort your body just to climb into it, the windows are held up by leather straps and the fuel filler cap is located on the roof, with an unsightly pipe running through the cabin down to the fuel tank.
It’s difficult to expect much more from a car built in post-world war two Germany, but this weird Beetle/Reliant Robin love-child truly couldn’t get any worse. Check out Jalopnik’s Jason Torchinsky’s full 1951 Hoffman review below. You won’t be disappointed, lol.
