Mercedes to come with a new Hypercar F1 based engine that revs till 11.000 rpm and its rear-wheel drive.

Even though we don’t know much about the car, reports say that delivery will start late 2018 or early 2019. AMG boss Tobias Moers, also revealed a couple of details about the car. He said that the new hypercar will use a 1.6 liter V6 engine based on the AMG’s F1 engine, and it will still have an incredibly high redline. “It will still rev out to more than 10,000 rpm, closer to 11,000 as a road car,” said Moers.

“This is a very ambitious project, and it took us a while to figure out how it works, and how we can do it,” said Moers. “Everything is dedicated in this car, it’s all new.”
The Mercedes Hypercar F1 is expected to deliver around 1000 horsepower, and as reports say, the power will be delivered in the rear wheels only, and active aerodynamics will help to keep the car stable, and the price will be under $2 million.
