We know precisely one thing about TVR’s new V8 powered sports car: it’s sold out. When the company announced it was starting work on a new car, eager buyers placed £5000 deposits for each of the 250 TVRs scheduled to be produced in 2017, despite literally knowing nothing about it.

That’s right, we don’t know what it might look like, how much power it makes, how much it costs, nothing. Today, we did however learn that the TVR will use a version of Ford’s 5.0L Coyote V8 built by Cosworth, and that it makes torque somewhere in the 500 range; whether that means NM of ft-lbs is anyone’s guess, but it was enough to shut down Cosworth’s dyno. You can watch the video of that dyno run below. One thing is for sure, something epic is about to come out of TVR.
