The first BMW M4 Drift Car is here, and it’s as awesome as it sounds.

When we think of drift cars, all sorts of Japanese cars come to mind, from the ever present Hachi-roku, to the typical S13 with banged up body panels. Even with the E36 generation of the 3 series BMW becoming more and more popular among the drift crowd, it seems even the professionals still stick to the more traditional cars to base their drift machine builds on.

But not this time; this BMW M4 drift car is unique, not only because of its make and model, but because of the surprisingly understated body modifications, or should we say, lack of them. That’s right, no oversized rear wing, no flared wheel arches, and no scandalous body kit.

This M4, true to German engineering, is a no-nonsense drift machine built to slide around a track, and give us a magnificent show while doing it.

You can watch it in action in the video below.
