Might seem a bit unexpected, but looks like this rumor is true.
Audi Sport, is planning on doubling the size of RS models by 2018. Stephan Winkelmann, which is the head of Audi Sport, didn’t specify which models will get the RS treatment, but we think that the A1 and the A4 will be amongst them. Audi Sport currently handles all the RS models and the R8. This kind of move was made to grow Audi Sport, and as Winkelmann says, it will see double the sales growth this year, but he also went on saying that they won’t grow more that they can handle.
“There is more to come,” says Winklemann. “But we will remain exclusive.”
