By the looks of it, the round managed to do more damage to the transmission than the engine itself. They managed to start up the engine in ‘failsafe’ mode, though the truck refused to move forward. Lesson learned: if you happen to find yourself driving through ISIS territory in Syria, in a V8 Ford F150 – a .50 cal round can indeed stop your Ford truck.
