Racecar gets lost, ends up in parking lot – GT Speed

Watch as this racecar gets lost, and ends up in a parking lot.

Recently, a racing driver at Sebring missed the fact that a right hand hairpin was coming, and instead took a strange detour into public roads and a parking lot.

The circumstances are as mysterious as the identity of the driver, and while this sort of thing doesn’t happen frequently, it still puzzles us.

The most likely scenario would be that the car was carrying excess speed into the corner, and the driver decided to keep going straight instead of risking understeer or braking abruptly and upsetting the balance of the car. Then again, no one knows.
