Take a look at Bugatti’s 101P Formula 1 future concept car.
Sean Bull, a British car designer with a passion for the Formula 1, has revealed on his blog a concept car with an aggressive look which he gave the name of Bugatti 101P.
“I imagined this concept car to show how could the cars of Formula arise in the future, when the closed cockpit will become mandatory,” says Bull. “This is my vision of the Formula 1 future concept car – said the designer from Coventry, England – with a marked preference for the aesthetics and the mechanical grip even Formula 1 found its former prestige.” He studied Automotive Design at Coventry University, and his profile on Behance .net shows he has an insatiable appetite for racing cars be them old or new.
The Bugatti 101P designed by Bull is fitted with wide tires (similar to those of Pirelli that will be used in Formula 1 starting next year) and looks like a very “futuristic” cross between a racing car and the Batmobile. According to him, the F1 drivers could use the “Tesla turbine” (the term has nothing to do with Tesla Motors: refers to the legendary inventor Nikola Tesla, who patented this engine in 1913), to combine a high level of efficiency without compromising reliability. We have now to wait for someone to take action on the idea that Bull has and materialize it into a car. The official track debut, if all goes well, may be organized for the 2020 Championship! We can only wait and hope.
