The Land Rover Defender is produced for the first time in 1983. It is also known for a lot of off-road capabilities. But, Land Rover published that the December 2015 will be the the final month of this 32 year marathon.
As everybody can see, the market loves off-road vehicles will a lot of horsepower, transformed to SUVs. So, we at GTspeed decided to ask you one questing: “Is it a good idea for Land Rover to produce an official version of Defender powered by the new 5.0 V8 supercharged engine used to power the new Range Rover Sport?”
Yeap that’s it. It would be a rival of the Mercedes G-Class AMG for example.
In fact, if you search on YouTube with the keyword “supercharged defender” you will see a few videos of swapped Defenders with supercharged engines.
