The BMW i3 is the awkward outcast of the BMW family.

It’s 100% with an available range extending gasoline generator. That range extender comes in the form of a 647cc two cylinder that puts out 34hp, an engine taken from a BMW Scooter. If I’m frank, the i3 is a recipe for the worst BMW driving experience on earth. That’s not the point though; on pure electric mode, it’s good for 72 miles; more than enough for your daily commute and any additional running around.
