I don’t know how I wasn’t that keen on the convertibles before?! I mean, check out this BEAUTIFUL 1965 Corvair Monza Convertible!!!
Apart from its undeniably beautiful looks, the Corvair was very unusual for an American car at the time. It had an air cooled and rear mounted engine, and had the compact horizontally opposed piston layout of Porsche engines. Additionally, the Corvair had an all independant suspension and unit construction. It’s not surprising then that some people referred to the Corvair as the poor man’s Porsche.
