Does anyone remember this extraordinary car ,auctioned off by Barret Jackson in January 2009 ?
Well, its been a long time since this auction opened, but its totally worth re-posting again some features of this ultra unique ’70 Nascar Plymouth Superbird .This car is built by YearOne from Braselton,Georgia. They made this car as a street drivable race car with a fully built 358 cubic inch Dodge producing in total 800 mad horses.Thats insane!
Mated to the beast powerplant is a 4-speed manual transmission courtesy of Tex Racing.
With an amazing black and blue paint scheme this Superbird was built especially to pay tribute of the 1960 & 1970 & sports a variety of NASCAR modifications. Included in the set is a raised transmission tunnel, inboard rear springs, stronger cross bracing & wheel tubs. Behind the gloss black rollers wrapped in slick BFGoodrich rubber are menacing Baer disc brakes. Inside, the cockpit has been stripped NASCAR-style and a full roll cage was installed
