The team at Vengeance Racing just celebrated their purchase of a new 2015 Corvette Z06 with a massive burnout, and for sure they tested it to the dyno. The results?
As reported by Corvette Forum, this particular example of the new Z06 pumps out 585 hp at the rear wheels, with 836 lb-ft of torque.

Figuring a fairly standard 15% drivetrain loss along the way, and doing some backward math, that’s about 688 hp and 982 lb-ft at the crank—considerably more than the 650 hp and 881 lb-ft ratings from Chevrolet. We’ll have to wait for more dyno runs on more cars to be made to know just how underrated the Z06 is out of the box if at all but at first impression, it looks like it may be quite a bit hotter than claimed.
