2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

Well, the first things that comes on our mind when we hear “american muscle car” is that they have a wide body, they have a big engine displacement and for sure they have a low MPG.
But, here comes the surprise. Chrysler has announced the all new Dodge Charger Hellcat’s EPA figures. The results are unbelievable. The 707-horsepower, supercharged 6.2-liter V8 Hemi engine managed to get 22mpg on the high way, which is a pretty high MPG for a car of this category with this amount of power.

We have to thank the Charger’s eight-speed automatic gearbox and the transmission that offers a 7.03 final drive ratio, which means that big, blown V8 is barely breathing on the highway. Incredibly quick shifts, right down to 160 milliseconds. Hmmm, I thing we forget to mention the top speed. Yes! It is 204 mph.
All we have to do now is to wait for the first test in the wild!
