If you ever had a self-build kit for a model or a remote control car than you’re familiar with the feeling of unpacking the box and combining the components together. Maybe the difficulty is not the same as constructing a 1,000mph record breaker. As you can see all the bits of Bloodhound are laid bare on the shop floor. All of the pieces will come together in Bloodhound’s Bristol base ahead of test runs this summer. Inside this rocket will be placed a 550bhp supercharged Jaguar V-8.The steering wheel is 3D printed while a bespoke Rolex speedometer will be installed to read all the way to 1000mph.
