Some context for our readers outside of North America; in the United States, people go nuts over anything remotely resembling a Nissan Skyline.

Thanks to US legislation, our American friends had to wait 25 years until they could import one, so on January 1st, 2014, the first R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R rolled across the Canadian border into the United States.
As you’d expect, prices for the R32 immediately doubled as American buyers scrambled to get their hands on the JDM legend. One of those buyers, was Doug DeMuro from Jalopnik, who then decided it would be funny to see what would happen if he brought his ultra-rare right-hand drive GT-R to your boring ol’ Nissan dealership for a minor repair.
