Reliability is huge no matter what you’re driving, from commuting in a Volkswagen Polo to driving 300,000kms per year in a Volvo big-rig truck.
That being said, in the latter case when you’re putting massive millage on a vehicle, something will break eventually. It’s therefore very important that not only are these trucks reliable, but they can be fixed quickly. To test this, Ryder put a new Volvo big rig through a massive torque test which blew the radiator, set the engine on fire, snapped the drivetrain and did massive damage in the form of a Miley Cyrus style wrecking ball.
