Dyno mishaps happen all time, though this one is particularly memorable.
During a dyno run at an outdoor festival, this 5.0 Mustang running a 200 shot of nitrous managed to blow a tire at around 150mph. The damage done was massive; the real quarter panel, wheel well and exhaust suffered, and the rear bumper was nearly blown cleanly off the car. One things for sure, the owner of this badass Mustang is not having a good day. Why did he run through all the gears? Nobody knows, a run in fourth would have sufficed. It appears that running the car at the top of fifth for such a long period of time was not the wisest choice.
