This past weekend at Rally Finland, the boys at M-Sport found themselves in a difficult position. The car, driven by Elfyn Evans and Daniel Barritt ran wide, striking a large rock, snapping a rear control arm. Using their in-car tool kit, they managed to nurse it through not only the current stage, but the next stage as well using a Snap On wrench as Suspension Parts
With some quick thinking, the wrench was strapped to either end of the break, allowing them to nurse the car until they were able to do a proper fix. This was both a massive stroke of genius by Evans, and an excellent advert for Snap On – that wrench still looks very straight. Though they lost time throughout the day due to both the fix, and the need to gently nurse the car back, they finished, which is what counts. As It Turns Out, Wrenches Can Be Used as grat Suspension Parts
We always knew @ElfynEvans was a genius! This is how he fixed his broken suspension for SS5-10! #WRC #Impressive! pic.twitter.com/Lv5HVvOsev
