When we think of straight eight cylinder engines, the only thing that comes to mind seems to be vintage racecar prototypes from the 1920’s.
However in recent times one man has built a supercharged inline straight 8 cylinder engine.
Such crazy contraption is based on two backwards spinning NSU four cylinders, placed front to back while a belt driven GMC sourced supercharger provides forced induction.
Builder Chris Ireland has spent over six months piecing together this fire breathing contraption, a long and arduous process of trial an error that has resulted in this magnificent machine.
