This paper model of a Wankel engine is astonishing.

When someone has the right amount of technical knowledge, free time, and dedication, the result of such traits is usually nothing short of impressive.

This time, the author has come up with a working paper model of a wankel rotary engine.

The Wankel in itself is a fascinating design, and after all the apex seals and rebuild jokes, it’s actually an engineering wonder, with smooth power delivery, and the potential to pack big horsepower in a small, compact engine block. While it’s not without its flaws, it is the most successful pistonless engine design.
