The flathead engine is a beautiful thing to watch while even though this one is a bit rusty it still gives us a glimpse on how it works.
Flathead engines don’t make much power,but they are very easy to build,inexpensive,and capable of running without causing too much problems,in other words they are pretty reliable.These are some of the reasons why Henry Ford chose these kind of engines.The valve-in-block design lets you run the flathead V8 with one of the cylinder heads removed and that’s how this video is provided to us.This video is a simple illustration of how the inside of an engine works.
