The 2016 Mercedes AMG GT S is a rear drive two seat sports coupe, and its the second vehicle made by Mercedes AMG.

To achieve the performance, Mercedes AMG designed a new engine for the GT S, a twin-turbocharged 4.0 liter V8 engine, that has a 7-speed twin-clutch transmission, and produces 503 horsepower and 479 lb ft of torque, and does 0-60 in 3.0 seconds. The power goes to the rear wheels through a trans-axle, which keeps the weight distribution at 47/53 front-rear split. The engine is mounted far back on the aluminium space-frame, that Mercedes likes to call it a front-mid engine car.
