The sound that we are about to hear is really a gift, and a master piece of automotive engineering. It comes from a 1986 Porsche 962, and the driving of the young talent Skylar Robinson. The car has had a 2.8 liter flat 6 engine, that had a giant turbo mounted behind the intercooler.

At first, the turbo ran all up to 75 psi, but they had to wound it down at 65 psi before it exploded. Thanks to the crazy boost figures and the its mid 80s turbocharging technology, 962s were always the best out of every prototypes. The sound is unimaginable, its a shame that the new age cars don’t sound like this, it sure would be one sweet melody to listen to. Close your eyes and imagine like you’re driving the car, and if you really are a turbo freak, use some headphones.
