This is how a clutch looks like from the inside.

This is one of those things that is pretty interesting to see if you’re really into cars. Watching an engine work from the inside is practically impossible, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t see the clutch.

The best way to learn how to drive a manual car is to watch how the clutch works, and these guys have cut out a piece of the metal that protects the pressure plate and the clutch, to see how it works. Well, another possibility is that they cut it open to see why the car wobbles that much. The car used for this test is a 1998 BMW 323is with a ZF310 trans, and it looks like the wobble comes from the clutch, but anyway, this is my first time seeing a clutch and a pressure plate at work and i’m not disappointed, it looks pretty cool.
