For years people have bought Ebay chips in hopes of making horsepower gains; the first few Fast and Furious films made electronic engine tuning seem like a breeze. However, the truth is that with today’s modern engines and their variable valve lift, drive by wire, variable cam timing and of course turbochargers, ECU tuning is an extremely finite and delicate task.
