The fact is, that every continent has its own motorsport tradition. For example, North America is mostly famous from drag racing, Asia or Japan in general for Drifting, Australia and New Zeland mostly for drifting and tire burning, and, Europe for Rallying.
Rally started in France a few years before 1900. 1894 Paris–Rouen Horseless Carriage Competition (Concours des Voitures sans Chevaux) was the firs Rally race ever held. Mountanious roads lead to several other races in the upcoming years.
The tradition is still alive. Is there anything better than an Oldtimer Rally race? I think not.
