The new Top Gear Supercar shootout: Aventador VS 911 GT3 RS VS 675LT

This unfamiliar feeling Top gear film has surfaced recently, comparing the Lamborghini Aventador SV, Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and McLaren 675LT, in conditions not usually associated with supercars; daily driving, poor weather, slippery road surfaces, and steep mountain roads.

At the start of the film, the premise seems promising, but the feeling of uncertainty washes over the viewer as they realize the voice narrating the action is different from Clarkson, Hammond, or May. Without the former hosts, the viewer feels estranged, as if Top Gear ceased to be itself, and merely evaporated into the atmosphere, leaving only Supercar footage in its trail.

But then, just before it all ends, the viewer might realize that nostalgia is but a thing of the past, and that maybe, they ought to give the new iteration of the show a chance.

The new Top Gear will be surely different, but that does not mean it will lack quality.
