2001 Pontiac Firebird the Corvete that was not a Corvette.

The 2001 Pontiac Firebird was a unique car that not many people dared to buy.

Not a lot of people bought it, because it was a very speculative car. If you chose the 2001 WS6 version of the Firebird, it would come with GM LS1 engine, the same engine that you would find in a Corvette.

It made around 325 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. All in all, the Firebird was a pretty cool car, but who would buy a Corvette that is not a Corvette? I mean, even if you would buy one used, it would make no sense what’s or ever and don’t get us wrong, the car was built to be awesome and it was, but still not better as a “real Corvette”. The Firebird was loud and sexy and had a lot of power, but sadly, the production would end in 2002 for never to be seen again.
